Hajra Atiq
Project Manager
Hajra Atiq is a Project Manager for IISD’s Tracking Progress program. She is based in Ottawa and manages grants for the Earth Negotiations Bulletin and the Tracking Progress community projects. Her work supports analyses, reporting, networking, and tools to interpret the state of sustainability in systems or regions, and promoting measurable, collaborative action.
Prior to joining IISD, Hajra worked at the World Wide Fund for Nature in Pakistan and the Cooperative Development Foundation of Canada, to develop and coordinate initiatives in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. Her well-honed skills in program planning, proposal development, and stakeholder community building has driven meaningful programs for sustainable agriculture, conservation, gender equality, and international development.
Hajra received the Fulbright scholarship to pursue her Masters in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont in the United States. She completed her Bachelor’s degree from Kinnaird College in Pakistan and is fluent in Urdu and English.
